A. MissionPresidents.com hosts, maintains, and supports a network of sites used by mission presidents and former mission presidents for the purpose of connecting to and staying connected with their former missionaries. What we are selling is 1) your very own site dedicated to you and your former missionaries; 2) hosting, upgrades, support, and maintenance on that site.

Q. What features are included with my site?
A. With the help and continued feedback of several Mission Presidents and former Mission Presidents, we have created a set of features that we feel most Presidents want. We are also constantly evolving what is available based on customer feedback. Below you will find a short list of the most popular set of features available with your site.

Q. Is this for missionaries currently in the field?
A. No. This service is for mission presidents and former mission presidents to use with their alumni missionaries. It is not intended for use by full time missionaries currently in the field. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has indicated a preference that missionaries not participate with such things while serving as full time missionaries. The exception to this may be senior couple missionaries.

Q. How does this whole thing work?
A. Once you sign up for your site, you will immediately be able to begin customizing the content and design motif. The following steps outline a typical site launch.

» Step 2: Site is instantly created (you will be able to begin editing it immediately)
» Step 3: Set up your site as you wish
» Step 4: Launch your site
» Step 5: Update your site, however, whenever and as often as you would like
» Step 6: After your trial period (30 days) if you like your site, we will contact you to arrange billing.

Q. What will my site look like?
A. You will have several different site "looks" to choose from. We have endeavored to give you attractive options that compliment the utility of the site. We are constantly adding site "look" choices. As with all upgrades, when new "looks" are created they will be available to you at no extra charge. Currently your site will look similar to this with options to vary the colors, fonts and photos available on the front page. In your admin suite you will be able to easily select the site design you prefer. Additionally, for an additional expense, we would be happy to create a custom design for you. Contact us if you would like more information on a custom site design.

Q. What will my web address be?
A. When you sign up for your own site, you will select a unique web address on the MissionPresidents.com network. We will assist you in selecting your name and will probably choose your last name as an identifier. So... if your last name is Jones, your web address would be http://jones.missionpresidents.com, or you can select something different if you choose like http://bjones.missionpresidents.com or anything else you would like so long as it has not already been selected by another president on the network.

Alternatively, for a small fee you may select to have an address off of the MissionPresidents.com network. Your site will still be on the network, but your name will not reflect that. You may choose something like http://www.jonesmissionaries.com for example. It's your choice.

Q. How will my former missionaries find my site?
A. There are several different ways:
1) With your unique web address you can spread the word about your site telling others to come visit. This is the most common way to spread the word.
2) There will be a tool for you to use inside your administration suite that will allow you to add the e-mail addresses of your former missionaries to a contact list then invite them to come to your site with the click of a button as often as every week if you would like.
3) When a missionary comes to the main MissionPresidents.com site they can enter your name in the search and find you that way.

The nice thing about having a unique name is that it makes it easy to spread the word.

Q. Can others besides my former missionaries come to my site?
A. Sure! You can invite anyone to your site that you wish to. Commonly, current mission presidents will invite newly called missionaries to come to the site before they come to the mission to learn about the mission and about him and his family. Feel free to invite whomever you wish.

Managing your site.

Q. Do I need to know HTML or web programming to run my site?
A. No. Your admin suite provides you an incredible amount of control over your site with no programming skills or knowledge required. If you can type, you can run your MissionPresidents.com site. It was designed so that someone with no technical expertise could run the site themselves with very little time invested. It is simple fill-in-the-blank administration that anyone should be able to do.

Q. How much do I need to know to run my site?
A. If you are reading this, you know enough. While there will be some effort needed to learn how your administration suite operates, it should be no more difficult than working with e-mail and browsing the web. We have worked diligently to create intuitive, easy to use tools that make site administration a snap. Additionally, we are constantly improving our tools to make them more powerful and more easy to use.

Q. OK, but I am still worried that I will not be able to use this.
A. Remember, you get 30 days to try your site and see if what we are telling you is true. Additionally, all of our sites come satisfaction guaranteed. We are certain that you will be able to run your site. If not, we will do whatever it takes to help you use your site properly. You can contact us with any question or concern. No question is too small, no concern is unimportant.

Q. What if you are wrong, what if it turns out I really can not do it?
A. In the unlikely event that you sign up for your site and find it too difficult or confusing to use, no problem. We are delighted to work with you and walk you through your administration suite and help you get it figured out. We are on staff and ready to help you. We will talk to you on the phone, exchange e-mail, letters, postcards, telegraphs, smoke signals, whatever it takes. If that does not work, we will even manage your site for you. If you want a MissionPresidents.com site, sign up and we'll see that you are happy with it.

Q. What if I sign up for a site and it's just not working for me?
A. No problem. During your 30 day trial, if you don't like it, you can just cancel your account at the end of your trial period. In the event that you are still unsatisfied with your site or just do not want it after you begin paying for your site simply fill out the short cancellation form inside your administration tool. Such a cancellation will take effect at the end of the monthly billing cycle.

Q. I'm extremely busy, how much time will I need to devote to my site?
A. With this very concern in mind we have created simple to use tools that you will be able to use when administrating your site. Our goal was to cut the amount of time needed to maintain your site to an absolute minimum. If you desire, you will easily be able to set up your site initially, then never touch it again and it will run itself (with our constant attention and support). A site that receives little attention from you will still be a great site and resource.

If (or when) you have more time, you can do something new every day. It's all up to you.

Q. What is the "admin suite?"
A. Each site comes with a password protected secure "admin suite." The admin suite allows you to change nearly every aspect of your site without the need of any HTML or web programming ability. It is a very simple tool to use and allows you the power to run your site without the need of help from us. (Although we are always willing to help where needed!)

Q. How do I get to my admin suite?
A. Once you have set up your site, you will be sent an e-mail providing you all the necessary access information and credentials allowing you to administrate your site. Additionally, you will be automatically taken to your admin suite to begin using your site as the final step in the sign up process.

Q. What if I don't want to have a newsletter (or other section) on my site?
A. You will have the option within your admin suite to turn most of your pages on or off making them part of your site or not, as you see fit.

Q. How do my missionaries sign up?
A. Your missionaries will sign up on your site by following a simple sign-up process presented to them when they arrive. This has worked very well for 100's of missionaries.

You will want to let your missionaries know about your site and encourage them to spread the word amongst themselves. One of the tools you will have at your disposal is a simple to use contact list where you can list missionaries that have not yet signed up offering you the ability to invite them to the site with the click of a button.

Purchasing your site.

Q. What does it cost?
A.Monthly Fee: $39 $29 for a limited time
(includes: site and database hosting, maintenance, all software upgrades, and unlimited technical support)

Q. What does the monthly fee buy me?
A. Each MissionPresidents.com site is a fully functional web site offering high-end web functionality and features. The monthly fee for using the service helps cover the cost of hosting your site and your database, of maintaining your site, of upgrading your site continually to meet customer needs and requests, and of supporting your site. We support each site and are committed to offering the highest level of customer service. If you have a problem with your site, if you do not understand something or if you just need some pointers -do not hesitate to contact us, we are happy to help in any way we can. No question is too small, no concern is unimportant.

Q. This all looks really neat and I want a site, but I'm pretty limited on funds, what are my options?
A. Some mission presidents report spending $500+ per year on postage and phone bills to stay in touch with former missionaries. While your MissionPresidents.com site may not eliminate that expense completely, if used as intended it can replace the vast majority of that expense and even allow you greater flexibility and ease for staying in touch with larger numbers of your missionaries. With features like the ability to make holiday newsletters and distribute them to everyone, the fact that missionaries self-update their contact information, a forum to keep your missionaries up to date on you, and you on them, your MissionPresidents.com site can be a great cost and time saving communication asset for you.
However, the expense can still be a concern. There are several options.
First, we periodically run specials and promotions that lower sign-up prices and/or monthly prices. If you would like to be notified when these specials come available, submit your e-mail address in the bottom form on the front page of this site and we will notify you when we run a special.
Second, for each President that you refer to MissionPresidents.com who in turn signs up for a site, we will give you 2 months of the service for free. If you refer just 6 Presidents a year, you will get your site for free.
Third, It is our desire that ANY Mission President that would like to have a site can have one. While we must charge to support this service and to recoup our significant investment, If you have other extenuating circumstances that prevent you from paying the price we quote here, contact us and we'll work something out with you. If you want a site, please don't leave without getting one just because of the price of the service.

Q. How soon after I sign-up do I get my site.
A. Once you have entered the information to create your site during the sign-up process, the site is yours and you will be able to begin using your site immediately. Your site will not be viewable to visitors until you activate it inside the admin suite. You can activate your site just as soon as you are ready.

General Questions.

Q. I was referred to your site by another Mission President, how do I make sure he gets credit when I sign up?
A. There are 2 ways. 1) you can contact us directly, we will see that they get the credit. 2) If you were referred via an e-mail message from this site, that message had a special web address that when used by you to sign up for a site, will guarantee that whomever referred you gets the reward for referring you.

Q. I have a suggestion for your site/company.
